Markets are Optimistic

Today new sanctions against Russian companies related to Bashar al-Assad and his usage of chemical weapons will be introduced by the United States. An announcement about that is expected by the US economy minister Steven Mnuchin.

Furthermore, after the US missile attack on military targets tensions have eased on the markets, since it became clear that this was an isolated blow, which does not entail any protracted battles. After this event oil prices retreated from the highs and stock indices began to recover.

This week will be rich in the publication of economic data. Tomorrow will be published China's GDP, which may not show the best results in recent years. There will also be a meeting of the Federal Reserve during which will be issued a decision on interest rates. Investors expect another increase at the present meeting.

China and Japan are ready to conduct joint negotiations with North Korea on a possible nuclear disarmament program, which can increase the interest in the market for risky assets.
