The UK continues to face all the new problems associated with Brexit and Theresa May does not rule out that she will have to ask the EU to extend the deadline for a deal. Earlier, it was agreed that on March 29 there would be an exit from the bloc. However, it is now possible that the deal will be dealt with by Parliament. After the Prime Minister’s speech yesterday, the British pound weakened somewhat, although it continues to be at two-month highs.

During yesterday's trading session the dollar index rose above the 96.00 mark, having strengthened against a number of major currencies, despite the fact that yesterday the US was celebrating a holiday.

Energy prices have declined and we expect US crude oil reserves to be released on Wednesday.
