Today in Davos we expect a speech made by the head of the White House, Donald Trump in which he is supposed to speak about his achievements over the past year and the fact that the expression "America First" does not contradict the vector of globalization. Furthermore, during an interview yesterday he said he wanted to see a strong dollar and is making all the necessary efforts.
Yesterday's speech by Mario Draghi at the ECB press conference pushed the Euro to decline after allegations that the rates should be kept at the same level and the possibility of extending or even increasing the quantitative easing program which currently stands at 30 billion dollars.
Today data was published on the GDP of the United Kingdom for the fourth quarter, which was higher than expected - growth amounted to 1.5% vs. the predicted 1.4%. Today there will be a speech by the chairman of the Bank of England Carney.
Moreover, today we also expect a speech by FOMC member Bullard and output data in the US GDP for the fourth quarter. After the release of the data we can determine the further movement of the dollar.
