Today will be a very calm on the market. Europe and Australia have a holiday today. In the afternoon reports from the US on sales in the secondary real estate market, as well as the April PMI index of business activity in the manufacturing sector are expected.

On the commodity market the day is more active. Oil prices continued rising, amid reports from the US that in the near future all buyers of Iranian oil will be required to stop their purchases, otherwise they will be subject to sanctions. The Canadian dollar has already strengthened with the new increase in oil prices.

It is expected that the upcoming week will be mostly dictated by the Asian and American markets because there are no significant macroeconomic statistics from the EU. The key days will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, when the meetings of the central banks of Canada and Japan will be held. Also, this week we expect data on the US GDP for the 1st quarter and quarterly reports of leading US companies, including Boeing, Visa, Microsoft, Intel, Verizon, and others.
